- If you need to rent a loom or spinning wheel, Red Stone Glen Fiber Arts Center rents looms and wheels. Please contact them directly: RedStoneGlen@gmail.com.

Join Sara Bixler for a workshop taking a look at the art of weft faced weaving on the frame loom. Each participant will learn how to warp and weave several different patterning styles of the Scandinavian tradition including, krokbrag, rib weave and more.

All-day Saturday, join us for an informal spin-in. Throughout the day, volunteers will help with spinning questions on a drop-in basis, and we will have a variety of spinning wheels for you to test drive.

How to Make a Quilt
Students will make a small quilt (approximately 6 inches) to learn the different steps in quilt-making by hand. Directions for patchwork, making the quilt sandwich, quilting, and binding will be given.

Making Handstitched Brooches
Students will learn how to make brooches using a range of fabrics, stitches, and beads. The brooch is a soft sculpture finished with a pin back that can be worn on clothing. The class will include some embroidery, attaching beads, and other decorative elements.
