DESCRIPTION:Jockey Hollow Weavers has a 2-day (Friday-Saturday) workshop on Swedish Rosepath Rag Rug weaving with Nancy Crampton. \nWeave samples of rosepath with tabby\, double-face rosepath\, unbalanced rosepath\, and many others. Participants need to come with a warped 4-shaft loom and will get warping directions ahead of time using 8/4 carpet warp. \nFriday\, April 17 and Saturday\, April 18.\n9:30am to 4:00pm\nGrace Lutheran Church\nMendham\, NJ \nRegistration is currently open only to members…but since we require non-members to pay dues in order to take our workshops\, interested weavers can join JHW now\, register for the workshop\, and ensure their place. \nWorkshop fee: $250\nMaterials fee:  $20\nMembership: $30

SUMMARY:Beginning Weaving
DESCRIPTION:This three day class is an introduction to the process of handweaving on a floor loom. Students will learn how to prepare a warp\, wind it onto the loom\, thread the loom for a twill pattern and weave a sampler. Along the way\, students will learn the basic vocabulary of looms and weaving. All materials and equipment will be provided and no previous weaving experience is required. Students will be provided with ample support from an experienced instructor as well as current members of the Tavern Spinners and Weavers Guild. \n1. This 3-day class is limited to 10 students.\n2. Class hours are 9 am to 4 pm daily.\n3. The class fee is $300.\n4. All materials and equipment are included.\n5. The class will be held in the TMB\, behind the Tavern building.\n6. Please let us know if you have a floor loom at home and what brand it is.\n7.
