Huck Lace and Bronson Lace are both beautiful block and unit weave lace structures that have intrigued weavers for ages. Both lace structures have a lot of design potential for creating beautiful cloth. We will examine the differences between the two laces by studying each of their threading, tie up, and treadling rules. We will talk about profile drafts and block weaves and translate profile drafts into thread-by-thread drafts using the rules of both structures. You will have your choice of prepping your loom for either a Bronson Lace draft or a Huck Lace draft. In class, you will design your own tie ups and weave your designs per your lace choice.
