Anne Choi

Anne Choi teaches spinning, weaving, knitting, and dyeing, with a focus on exploring the relationship between craft and imagination. She raises a small flock of natural-colored American Shetland sheep in Bedminster, N.J. and uses their fleeces, along with wool from nearby farms, to create her small-batch, custom milled Vintage Blend yarns.

Anne is the organizer of the Creative Advocacy & Networking Retreat, a professional development event focused on promoting the success of businesses owned by racial and ethnic minority artists working in the fiber arts community. She serves on the Board of the North American Shetland Sheepbreeders Association, and is the founder of NJ Fibershed, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to creating a supportive network among small fiber farms across the state of New Jersey. NJ Fibershed works to provide educational resources for first-generation farmers, and to raise public awareness of local and sustainable fiber production and use.
