(302) A Natural-Dye Color Wheel
Ever since we were children we have been playing with the primary colors, mixing them and making new colors. Now see how the three primary colors can be used to dye a color wheel of yarns and fibers.
Using three base natural dyes and mordants, additives, and mixing with other dyes, students in this class will go home with yarns and fibers to play with, but also the excitement to continue the adventure. All fibers will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring some of their own yarns and scoured fibers to use in exhaust baths.
