Wednesday Volunteer Dinner
As a weaver, fiber artist, and maker of jewelry, I have had a long career in fiber that began many moons ago when I took weaving at Syracuse University. That learning experience lit the fire, and I have continued my education in fiber, like many of you, by attending guild study groups and workshops, by going to weaving schools like Red Glen Fiber Center, and by attending conference like HGA Convergence and MAFA. My business, Peacock Expressions – Jewelry and Wearable Art, is still evolving and when I can create enough inventory I see a website and an Etsy Shop in my future.
As one of the original North Jersey Weavers/Westfield Weavers Guild members who met in 1980 to create the Mid Atlantic Fiber Association, I am happy to sponsor the Volunteers Dinner at the MAFA 2023 Conference to honor this year’s volunteers who are keeping the spirit of giving alive.
