MAFA Operations
MAFA is governed by its Board of Directors, including the Executive Officers, in conformance to the MAFA Bylaws. The Member Guilds each appoint a Representative (Rep) to oversee the Board of Directors, to vote the Executive Officers into a 2 year term and to approve any Bylaw revisions. The Reps meet two or three times a year at the Representatives Assembly.
The Board of Directors consists of the four Executive Officers, also known as the elected officers, and several additional directors who are appointed by the Board. Each person on the MAFA Board has one vote regardless of the number of roles.
- Bylaws: MAFA’s bylaws provide the structure and rules for continuity in the all-volunteer organization.
- Board Position Duties: The MAFA Board handles the day-to-day operations of MAFA, and sets the strategic direction of the organization.
- Role of the Rep: Guild representative responsibilities
