As the artist known as Prince once sang “Let’s Go Crazy”. And I would add “let’s have fun!” On simple frame looms or small harness looms, you will explore a variety of tapestry techniques that can be used in almost any weaving project and on any loom. You will start with wedge weave tapestry (based on the Navajo weaving technique from the late 1800s) and then begin adding eccentric, inlay, and textured techniques.
Open to all levels of experience, you will create a sampler or a small rug/wall hanging. You should know how to warp a loom. During class, you will disscuss how to select colors, find inspiration points, and share ideas about weaving.
