Peggy will guide and teach you through traditional marbling techniques using a carrageenan size and acrylic paints on paper, cotton fat quarters, and flowing silk scarves. You will explore and practice a variety of classic patterns—including Feather, Angel Wing, French Curl, Chevron, Peacock, Stone Marble, and more—while developing essential skills in paint application, both intricate and freeform pattern design, and creating your own distinctive motifs.
By the end of the workshop, you will leave with a beautiful collection of hand-marbled papers, cotton fat quarters, and two silk scarves. Comprehensive reference materials and an in-depth handout packet are included to support your continued exploration at home.
