The Weavers’ Guild of Rochester’s 2026 Holiday Sale is just around the corner. Our annual event showcases the incredible talents of the artists of the Weavers’ Guild, with a stunning array of handmade goods, including:

Location: The beautiful Perkins Mansion/AAUW, 494 East Ave, Rochester, New York.
Parking behind the mansion and off of Prince Street. Admission is FREE, so bring your friends and family to shop, learn, and be inspired by the world of fiber arts!  

Beginning Weaving

This three day class is an introduction to the process of handweaving on a floor loom. Students will learn how to prepare a warp, wind it onto the loom, thread the loom for a twill pattern and weave a sampler. Along the way, students will learn the basic vocabulary of looms and weaving. All materials and equipment will be provided and no previous weaving experience is required. Students will be provided with ample support from an experienced instructor as well as current members of the Tavern Spinners and Weavers Guild.

1. This 3-day class is limited to 10 students.
2. Class hours are 9 am to 4 pm daily.
3. The class fee is $300.
4. All materials and equipment are included.
5. The class will be held in the TMB, behind the Tavern building.
6. Please let us know if you have a floor loom at home and what brand it is.
7. We will break for lunch each day and students are welcome to bring their own lunch or have lunch in the Tavern Café on Friday and Saturday.
