103 A Flower Garden Blooms in Boundweave

103 A Flower Garden Blooms in Boundweave

Thread your loom, grab your shuttles, and watch a garden grow! Boundweave is a colorful, graphic weave structure traditionally used for striking wall hangings and durable rugs, pairing sturdy cotton or linen warp with richly colored wool or cotton weft.

In this class, you’ll weave a vibrant boundweave sampler using beautiful wool yarns, discovering how blocks of color come together to form petals, stems, and lively geometric blooms. You’ll learn the fundamentals of the structure, explore how to graph your own designs, and see how color choices transform simple shapes into dynamic imagery.

Once your sampler is complete, the remaining warp becomes your canvas. Continue weaving and let your own flower garden unfold—using your personal yarns and imagination to create a one-of-a-kind wall hanging. Come plant an idea, nurture it with color, and leave with a garden you’ve woven by hand.
