The MAFA 2025 conference will be held at Millersville University, Millersville, PA. This university campus is located in south-central Pennsylvania’s historic Lancaster County.

Note: When your GPS says your destination is on the right as you drive down Shenks Lane, you should instead turn LEFT, into the Marketplace parking lot.

General driving directions to campus:

From Baltimore and south: Take Route I-83 north to Route 30 east. Take exit for Route 741 east. Then follow “From Route 741,” below.

From Harrisburg and west: Take Route 283 east. Take exit for Route 741 east. Then follow “From Route 741,” below.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, traveling east: Take Exit 19/247 (Harrisburg East), onto Route 283 east. Take exit for Route 741 east. Follow “From Route 741,” below.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, traveling west: Take Exit 21/286 (Reading/Lancaster) and follow Route 222 south to Route 30 west. From Route 30, take exit for Route 741 east. Then follow “From Route 741,” below.

From Route 222, traveling south: Take the exit for Route 30 west. From Route 30, take the exit for Route 741 east. Then follow “From Route 741,” below.

From Route 30: Take exit for Route 741 east. Then follow “From Route 741,” below.

From downtown Lancaster City: Go west on Orange Street, turn left on Charlotte Street and then bear right onto Manor Street. It will become Route 999 (Manor Avenue). When you cross Route 741 (Millersville Road), follow “Almost There,” below.

From Route 741: On Route 741 east, the name Rohrerstown Road will change to Millersville Road. About four miles beyond Route 30, turn right at the light onto Route 999. Follow “Almost There,” below.

Almost There:

  • After the second traffic light (after Route 741), watch for the fork in the road and bear left onto George Street.
  • Follow George Street for several blocks.
  • Turn right onto W. Frederick St and then almost immediately left onto Shenks Lane.
  • The long building on your left is the Student Memorial Center (SMC).
  • At the end of this building, turn left into the parking lot and park.
  • Registration will take place in the MAFA Marketplace, located on your left as you drive into the parking lot, at the end of the Student Memorial Center.

Check-in Instructions

Where do I go when I arrive on Thursday to check in for the conference and get a key for my room?

Your first stop after parking should be the conference registration desk in The Marketplace at the South end of the Student Memorial Center that faces the parking lot. You will receive your dorm assignment, room key and meal card, workshop location, name badge, and goody bag.

Then you can proceed to the West Village Dorm (or South Village for couples), which is alongside the same parking lot, to move in to your room, or to your classroom building to unload your equipment.

Unloading at Classrooms—Starting from Registration Parking Lot

Unloading for Roddy/Caputo North – Science Ln, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a LEFT turn onto Centennial Drive
  • Turn RIGHT onto Creek Drive for 100 yards
  • Turn LEFT onto Pucillo Drive for 0.4 miles
  • After Pucillo curves to the left, park on the street, or pull down the driveway to the loading dock on the North side of the building.

Unloading for Caputo South- Science Ln, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a LEFT turn onto Centennial Drive
  • Continue straight onto Creek Drive
  • Pass James Street
  • Continue as Creek turns LEFT to become E Frederick Street
  • Park on the street to enter the South side of Caputo
  • The sign will say Agires Science Complex

Unloading for Breidenstine – 46 E Frederick St, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a LEFT turn onto Centennial Drive
  • Turn RIGHT onto Creek Drive for 100 yards
  • Turn LEFT onto Pucillo Drive for 0.4 miles
  • After Pucillo curves to the left, park if unloading in Breidenstine Hall, or pull down the driveway to the loading dock on the west side of the building.

Unloading for Osburn – 40 E Frederick St, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a LEFT turn onto Centennial Drive
  • Turn RIGHT onto Creek Drive for 100 yards
  • Turn LEFT onto Pucillo Drive for 0.4 miles
  • After Pucillo curves to the left, park on the street behing Breidenstine Hall, or pull down the driveway to the loading dock between Osburn and Breidenstine.

Unloading for McComsey Lower Level – McComsey Hall, E Frederick St, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a LEFT turn onto Centennial Drive
  • Continue straight onto Creek Drive for 100 yards
  • Pass James Street, then park on the street, or turn LEFT into the service area at the lower level of McComsey

Unloading for McComsey Upper Levels – McComsey Hall, E Frederick St, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a LEFT turn onto Centennial Drive
  • Continue straight onto Creek Drive for 100 yards
  • Turn LEFT onto James Street for 0.1 miles
  • Pass the tennis courts, then turn RIGHT into the parking lot next to McComsey

OR Alternate Unloading for McComsey Upper Levels – McComsey Hall, E Frederick St, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a LEFT turn onto Centennial Drive
  • Continue straight onto Creek Drive
  • Pass James Street
  • Continue as Creek turns LEFT to become E Frederick Street
  • Park on the street to enter the North side of McComsey

Unloading for Luek – 24 Pucillo Dr, Millersville, PA 17551:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a RIGHT turn onto Centennial Drive, then immediately
  • Turn RIGHT onto Shenks Lane for 0.2 mile
  • Turn RIGHT onto E Frederick St. for 0.1 miles, crossing George Street
  • Turn LEFT onto High School Avenue
  • Park on the right for Leuk OR
  • If unloading for Luek, continue straight ahead for 0.1 mile and park behind Luek Hall (on your right)

Unloading for SMC:

  • Exit the West Village Parking lot making a
  • Right turn onto Centennial Drive for 0.1 miles to turn
  • Right onto Shenks Lane for 0.1 mile
  • Park if unloading in SMC
