We Welcome Daytrippers, Overnighters, and Weekend Guests at the Conference!
The Marketplace, Exhibits, Makers Meetup, and Weekend Classes are all open to the public, including our “Shop ’til You Drop” and Spinning Games on Friday evening. You are also welcome to attend the Open Studio Tour on Saturday evening to see examples of the work in progress in our workshops and meet the instructors.

Daytrippers: If you aren’t staying over, or taking a weekend class, we look forward to seeing you, and there is no need to register! You may purchase meals individually at the Dining Hall if you wish.
For those traveling a distance to the conference, we have options to spend one or more nights with us. (If you need housing after the deadline to register, or you want to stay off-campus, there are a number of hotels in the area.)
Registration for Housing for Weekend Guests and Overnighters will open February 15, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. ET, and close May 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
Weekend Guests:
If you are attending the the full four-day conference, but not taking a workshop, register for housing as a Weekend Guest.
For example, you may want to attend all conference events and volunteer, but not take a workshop, or you are attending with a spouse or companion. Your registration fee includes: a single or double room in the dorm, shared bath, and all meals from Thursday evening through Sunday lunch, as well as all other conference activities. Note: If you are a volunteer arriving early to help with setup, or a guest of someone arriving early, there is an option for a Wednesday night stay for $75.
Those who aren’t taking a workshop are encouraged to volunteer in the Marketplace or to monitor the exhibits during open hours. Signups will open in late-March. If you can help, find details here: Volunteer at the 2025 Conference.
Overnighters:
Weekend visitors who don’t want to drive home after a day of fiber activities or weekend classes, may register for Friday and/or Saturday night stays as an Overnighter.
Your registration fee includes: a single room in the dorm (or double rooms on request if you have a roommate), shared bath, and three meals – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Housing Registration Details for Weekend Guests and Overnighters:

- Online registration: All non-workshop housing registrations will be online through RegFox. When registration opens for Weekend Guests and Overnighters, look for the BLUE “REGISTER FOR HOUSING – Not Taking A Workshop” button on the MAFA conference website.
- You may only register one person per email address.
- Select your housing option.
- Fill in all personal info fields: Note the *required fields.
- Review and accept the conference policies: Your registration will not be processed without your acceptance.
- Payment: Will be made online at the time of registration using any major credit/debit card, we are NOT accepting PayPal or checks for this conference.
- Confirmation: After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with your registered housing option.
- Save your confirmation email: Your confirmation number will make logging in to modify your registration simpler. If you need to modify your registration and don’t have your number, click Resend Confirmation and it will be emailed to you.
- Changes or canceling housing: You can return to the registration site at any time before the deadline to make changes.
- Cancellation and Refunds: Registrations for housing may be canceled for a partial refund through May 15, 2025 by contacting the Registrar at registrar@mafafiber.org. A processing fee of 25% will be deducted from your housing refund. However, because we have to give our housing and meal counts to the university weeks before the conference, after May 15, 2025, housing and meal fees are non-refundable.
