Before applying:

  • Review the Conference Scholarship Guidelines.
  • We suggest you read through the Conference Scholarship Application form below, making note of the required fields.
  • You will need the name and number of a first and second choice workshop for your application.
  • Prepare a brief statement about your fiber art experience and interests, why you want to take your chosen workshop, and what you hope to do with the information after the conference.
  • Have two (2) digital images of your current fiber arts work.

Applications should be received by January 3, 2025. 

If after the initial deadline there are scholarships still available, we will continue to accept applications until March 31, 2025, or until all scholarships are awarded. After workshop registration opens in February, the selection of workshops will be limited to those with open seats.

Please attach two photos of your fiber arts work as .jpg. .jpeg, .png, or .pdf. If you have any issues attaching your files, please email them to grants@mafafiber.org. Be sure to include “MAFA Scholarship” and your last name in the subject line.

    Part III. Acknowledgments

    By submitting this application, I acknowledge that:

      I have read and understood the conference scholarship guidelines on the MAFA website.
      Conference scholarships will be applied directly to the applicant’s registration fee. No monetary benefit will be distributed to any applicant.
      Conference Attendance, and two hours of volunteer time at the conference, are required for MAFA Conference Scholarship recipients.
