Marcia Weinert

Marcia Weinert (who is “Undeniably Loopy!”) has been addicted to turning fluff into stuff ever since sneaking away her 9-year-old daughter’s spindle and fiber after their first class together over two decades ago! Her handspun skeins and original knitwear designs have taken top honors at some of the largest American festivals and her patterns appear in print. She teaches spinning, knitting, felting, and crochet in many outlets across the Northeast, particularly the Weaving & Fiber Arts Center (Rochester, N.Y.).

In Marcia’s classes, “curriculum” plays second fiddle to students’ questions and needs. She strives to translate instruction into methods that best serve and make sense to the individual crafting each project and encourages students to reach beyond any particular technique into the arena of their own creativity.
