(504) It’s In the Bag
Bring your scraps of handwoven and similar fabrics and construct an embellished bag inspired by Japanese rice bags called Komebukuro.
Learn stitching techniques including Sashiko to embellish your fabric, then sew your pieced panels together to make a beautiful bag.
Often weavers have samples, scraps and discarded handwoven fabrics tucked away to use ‘some day’. These bags are a great way to show off the woven cloth, bring back memories, and make a useful accessory.
