2025-Workshop-Photos - 401_Barker_Mosaic_1

Learn mosaic nuno felt techniques that are perfect for using recycled fabrics, along with a few silks. Each person will make a pattern to use in creating a coat in their size. Participants will learn layout techniques, tips on wetting, felting and fulling a large project. A discussion will be had on finishing and closures.

Day one will be sharing sample garments, reviewing the pattern making worksheet, and using pre-made patterns to begin the layout. Day two will be finishing layout, felting, and fulling. Day three (half day) will be fitting, trouble shooting, and finishes.

Materials required are provided by instructor at a cost: merino wool, a variety of silk fabrics and some specialty fabrics, pattern making plastic, a variety of embellishments, plus printed instructions.
